TIME TRAVEL 24 starts with some of pioneer British drag racing organiser Brian Sparrow’s slides of the D-D Buick slingshot in 1963 and Ken Cooper’s ‘33 Ford hot rod in 1964, then a look at the original signing on sheet for the first British drag race. Next some more of Brian’s slides from the B.D.R.A. drag race at South Marston in 1965 including the D-D Cadillac, Dos Palmos, Houndog II and The Worden. Then a look at some of the correspondence between Brian Sparrow and Bob George which resulted in the U.S. Masters Commando Drag Team coming to Santa Pod in 1966. Fortunately Brian took his cine camera along and recorded the action including Bud Barns in the AA/FD Ultrasonic, Gil Mudrack in the Runt Modified Roadster, Larry Arnold in the Lawman Anglia Gasser and E.J. Potter turning the rear tyre in to smoke on his V8 Chevy bike. Next a few slides taken by Geoff Martin at the 1966 B.H.R.A. Championships at Santa Pod including Wild Thing, Dragoon, Wombat, Turner Ford, Baron’s Barrow and Golden Hind. Then back to Brian Sparrow’s cine film from Santa Pod in 1967 including Hustler, Stagecoach, (both pictured above) Megalomania, Juggernaught, etc. etc... Finally more of Brian’s cine film from Santa Pod in 1968 including Motorvation, M.A.B, Stripduster, Shutdown, Houndog III, Gloink and Brian Parkin’s Triumph Kart (pictured above) etc. etc.....
